One of the most important tools you have as a resident of Stonehaven Student Apartments is the Work Order. If something in your apartment malfunctions or breaks or if you notice something out of order on the property in general, please contact the RSO (Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. / 951.782.7979) or the RA after hours 951.961.0274 to request a Work Order. A Work Order form needs to be completed at the RSO prior to any work being done in your apartment. You will be asked (1) your name, (2) your apartment #, (3) your phone #, (3) the nature of the problem, and (4) whether or not you will grant permission for our staff to enter to remedy the situation if you are not home. It should be noted that our staff is extremely trustworthy and has impeccable integrity. Most residents do indeed authorize entry during their absence. Declining authorization will delay your repair. However, at your request an appointment can be arranged for repair work.
Our staff responds to Work Orders regarding heating and air-conditioning, water leaks, burned out light bulbs, malfunctioning toilets, broken garbage disposals, lock and key issues, among many others. Most often, repairs are completed free of charge. Ask RSO staff or the RA whether or not you may be charged for a particular repair.
Following is a sample list of items for which our staff cannot provide assistance. Stonehaven Student Apartments attempts to adhere to a standard in the complex to which some of the following requests do not conform:
· Curtain rods
· Spring-loaded or tension rods
· Mini-blind valences
· Additional window coverings
· Additional entry door locks & security devices (Please see “Keys/Door Locks” under YOUR APARTMENT).
· Additional lamps
· Additional furniture (Please see “Furniture” under YOUR APARTMENT).
Residents are not permitted to repair damages to Stonehaven Student Apartments property. Unauthorized repairs will be corrected at an appropriate charge to the resident.
Damages or malfunctioning items should be reported to the RSO promptly since many problems only worsen as more time elapses.
Staff is available 24 hours to assist you and conduct repairs. After hours, staff usually only conduct repairs for “emergencies.” If a situation compromises a resident’s health and/or safety or if it will escalate damage to property it is an “emergency.” If not, the situation will be noted and handled appropriately on the next business day.
